Our Mission Statement                         

 

We, the Hopewell Church family, will witness the “Good News” of Jesus Christ to the community and the world. This will be accomplished through our thoughts, words, and actions as a congregation and as individuals. We are charged to be disciples of Jesus Christ, to study God’s Word, worship in an organized manner, include prayer in our daily lives, love one another, edify the saints and become evangelists.  We will be involved in the following ministries of Member Care, Worship and Celebration, Education and Christian Nurture, Outreach and Evangelism.

 

In our church, we will engage in many of the following activities as ways to be about the purpose for which God has called us:

 

• Consistently attending Sunday School, Bible Study and Worship

• Giving generously of my time, talent and resources

• Making use of area groups

• Cooperating with Elders and Pastor as leaders

• Serving my Fellowman

• Serving as a door keeper in my Father’s house

• Singing praises for the Lord

• Setting good examples for the youth

• Providing opportunities for young people to be actively involved in the ministries of the church

• Providing an opportunity for active Third Age Ministry

• Fellowship with other churches
